Children Book Day

In this day, not that many years ago, in a small town in Denmark, called Odense, a boy was born. His name was Hans. That same day, legend has it, the Halley’s comet passed over this same town. Was it a sign that the boy will become one of the most beloved storytellers of all times.

Yes, I am talking about Hans Christian Andersen. The father of the Little Mermaid and may more enchanting fairytales. We now celebrate his birthday as the International Children’s Book Day.

Happy reading my dear friends! Don’t ever stop!

And if you are looking for a great way to visualize those beloved fairytales check out for storytime felt board stories like Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
